About Us

Tipsy Cupcakes RVA is owned and operated by two siblings, Mesha and Shay Cousins. One day, the duo, frustrated with their current full time jobs, decided to take an extended lunch break. Three hours later, Tipsy Cupcakes RVA was born! They researched and practiced for countless hours to acquire the baking skills needed to incorporate alcohol into baked goods.The first prototype was taken to a birthday party and tasted by a few ladies sitting at a table nearby in the restaurant. After a few moments, the ladies came back over to the table and asked how they could purchase the cupcakes and the lightbulb went off!!! 

The duo started making cupcakes from their home until later acquiring a pick up location in the Supreme Flea Market. Tipsy Cupcakes RVA stayed at that location for two years until venturing out for their new storefront home to accomplish the dream of becoming full time entrepreneurs. Tipsy Cupcakes RVA moved to their current location in Carytown June 2019 and have since become a part of the Carytown experience! Both ladies are now full time entrpreneurs that eat, sleep and dream of cupcakes!!
